Brits can’t handle snow
Coming from Bucharest, when there were times we get (or at least used to) 50-100cm of snow in the city, I cannot but laugh at the way in which 10cm of snow in Central London are capable of killing almost every single form of transport. All buses have been cancelled for the day, trains aren’t doing any better, and the tube is partially suspended. I waited around 1 hour for the Overground before I finally gave up and came back home. The SYSTEM is supposed to be prepared for nuclear, radioactive, biological and whoever knows what other kind of terrorist attacks, but it’s brought down to its knees by a little bit of snow. How very reassuring.
